News and updates from Royal Victory Thoroughbreds Racing Partnerships.

Hello Royal Victory Thoroughbreds Partners and Racing Enthusiasts,
The Toronto Blue Jays recently lost a heartbreaker game 7 at Rogers Center in an epic World Series finale. In Seattle, an aura of sadness and devastation still lingers after the Mariners blew the lead in game 7 of the ALCS against Toronto, just two weeks earlier. Sovereignty then lost his chance for Breeders Cup infamy after coming down with a fever and scratching out of the $7 Million BC Classic! Regardless of the sport, winning is really tough and losing is terribly rough!
Experiencing victory in any horse race will bring forth the most amazing highs, simply because winning is incredibly difficult at any level. Track condition, horse fitness, jockey decisions, race trip and level of competition all factor into the outcome of a race. In every race, only one horse can prevail (except in a dead heat) while the others become statistical also-rans. Winners deservingly pop the champagne as the vanquished bite their collective lips and dig deep in search of any reserves of fortitude to accept the results and press forward.
For Royal Victory Thoroughbreds, 2024 was an epic year with double-digit wins and ‘in-the-money’ record of 60 percent. Our horses were super competitive in every race they entered, compelling us to scream and shout each time they rumbled home to the wire! Unfortunately, our success had a shelf-life and 2025 has doused our previous enthusiasm with a cold splash of reality. Over the past two years, we’ve experienced the highs of victory and most recently, the emptiness of defeat. As this current year has been a challenging one, our resilience is clearly being put to the test. However, as we look forward, I see plenty of reasons to be bullish given racehorse owners must be eternal optimists or we wouldn’t last long in this business! I’m personally optimistic as most of our RVT horses are still very young and either lightly raced or unraced. They bringing upside potential and I look forward to seeing this next generation of RVT racehorses compete on the racetrack! See below for the latest updates on each RVT horse.
See you in the Winner’s Circle!

We learned a few things in October as we prepare ourselves for the final two months of racing in 2025. We added one horse to the IR as Native Empress returned to Yakima but removed Chief Wild Eagle from IR as he returned to training at Santa Anita. We also retired Kitty Tin Tin at age 6, after 26 races, 2 wins, 6 seconds, 3 thirds and $47k in career earnings. See our feature horse section below for more details on her career and retirement.
During October, we had just three races and a single workout as most of our horses were turned out entering November. As such, the racing action for RVT will remain light for the remainder of this year and into early next year. At present, only Flinny Tin Tin, Bang and a Boom and Snowboarder are sitting at race ready.

In the Spotlight < Kitty Tin Tin, 19
After 26 races, 2 wins, 3 thirds and $47k in career earnings, Kitty Tin Tin (by Courageous Cat out of Run Tin Tin) was officially retired from racing on November 1. During her last few efforts, we observed the six-year-old mare appeared to lack keen interest in racing competitively. Rather than continue to push on her and risk injury, she instead has retired as a sound and healthy racehorse.
Foaled on March 4, 2019 in Stillwater, NY, Kitty made her debut in a maiden race at Aqueduct in NYC in December of 2021. Unfortunately, she chipped a knee during the race and required surgery, which sidelined her for several months. Following a successful rehab, she returned to Belmont Park in the summer of 2022 for a trio of races, including a third place finish in July 2022.
Kitty spent the remainder of her career at Fingerlakes, except for a brief diversion this past winter to Laurel Park and Penn National. In total, she raced 21 times at Fingerlakes with a pair of victories, 6 seconds and a pair of third place finishes to her credit.
Given her racing career predominantly took place at Fingerlakes, Kitty is being enrolled in the Fingerlakes Thoroughbred Adoption Program (FLTAP), an accredited charity located in Farmington, New York. FLTAP represents our best option to ensure she lands in a caring home and a safe place.
Royal Victory Thoroughbreds is grateful for the partnership and gives a big SHOUT OUT to all the RVT Partners who invested their time, interests and money in Kitty Tin Tin! Thank You!
