Royal Victory Thoroughbreds Monthly
The latest updates from your friends at Royal Victory Thoroughbreds Racing Partnerships.

Hello Royal Victory Thoroughbreds Partners and Racing Enthusiasts,
Welcome to August and the best of summer racing across the nation. The premiere meets at Saratoga (NY) and Del Mar (CA) are well underway, attracting the nation’s top horses by featuring Graded Stakes races each weekend. Competing at either racetrack means battling against the top owners and trainers who routinely purchase thoroughbreds for six and seven figures. Although Royal Victory Thoroughbreds cannot compete against such deep pockets at auction, both Saratoga and Del Mar are aspirational goals for the racehorses in our modest little stable.
Of course, winning at any venue is always difficult as everyone involved competes hard to win. Months of conditioning (along with various stops and starts) requires patience, ultimately leading to the starting gate. Once poised inside the gate, each jockey, trainer and owner have an internal vision of victory as every race brings the possibility of sitting atop of the world. It happens that very moment your horse crosses the wire first. At Royal Victory Thoroughbreds, we aspire to live this dream throughout the remainder of these summer months. We look forward to more racing excitement in August and September at Emerald Downs, Finger Lakes, Colonial Downs, Timonium and Del Mar. Let’s go RVT!

Looking into the paddock at the Del Mar Turf Club
Royal Victory Thoroughbreds ran a few more races in July with mixed results and we’re just warming up. We got to see our first 2-year-old start this year as Native Empress debuted at Emerald Downs on July 26. As one of four different two-year-olds currently in training, we hope to see even more career debuts in August.
Nine of our ten horses of racing age are currently in training and all nine could potentially start in August or September. We are eagerly looking forward to the career debuts of Jess In Time (Emerald Downs) and Snowboarder (Colonial Downs), Lucky Tin Tin (Colonial Downs) and Louisville Liam (Colonial Downs) as they continue to move forward in their training. In addition, we expect to see Kitty Tin Tin, Chief Wild Eagle and Flinny Tin Tin also return in August while Native Empress will make her second career start once she settles into her new home at Del Mar. Bang and a Boom has also recently resumed training and could race in early September at Emerald Downs.
🐴 RVT Horses - In Training
Kitty Tin Tin - Racing at FINGERLAKES. Finished 5th in a driving rainstorm in her return to Fingerlakes on July 7 and improved in her second start on Jul 30, finishing 3rd.
Chief Wild Eagle - Racing at EMERALD DOWNS. He finished a hard-luck 3rd at Emerald Downs on July 13 after getting cutoff as he rallied up the rail. In two races at Emerald Downs this year, he has a 2nd and 3rd place finish.
Flinny Tin Tin - Returned to the starting gate at DELAWARE PARK on July ware Park in July 19, finishing a distant eighth. She’ll look to return to last year’s form at Timonium and may head to Fingerlakes to wrap up the year.
Native Empress - Training at DEL MAR following her career debut at EMERALD DOWNS on Aug 26; a maiden allowance sprint in which she finished sixth. She is a tall filly with long strides and needs lots of ground, so will likely stretch out when she runs next.
Bang and a Boom - Returned to training at EMERALD DOWNS and recorded his first timed breeze on July 27. He’ll look to break his maiden in at EMERALD DOWNS before it concludes its meet on Sept 7.

In the Spotlight 🔦Four Generations of Hekawi at Emerald Downs
Before Native Empress shipped to Del Mar and Princess Hekawi was turned out in Yakima, their broodmare, Hekawi, was represented with four foal generations, all training together at Emerald Downs. Joining Native Empress, f, 23 and Princess Hekawi, f, 20 were Chief Wild Eagle, g, 19 and Bang and a Boom, g, 21.
The quartet represents the first four foals out of the dark bay Tribal Rule mare. Collectively, the four have raced a total of 45 times with 9 victories, 9 seconds and 5 thirds; the elder Chief Wild Eagle, leads the pack with 27 of those starts. Both Chief Wild Eagle and Bang and a Boom will likely join Native Empress at Santa Anita after the meet at Emerald Downs concludes, while Princes Hekawi will enjoy the winter off in Yakima. Perhaps, we’ll see all four again next year along with their youngest brother and the mare’s fifth foal (to be named); a colt by Anthony’s Cross.

LAST CHANCE SHARES: Lucky Tin Tin
Lucky Tin Tin is both a Maryland-bred and Virginia Certified juvenile filly, currently in training at Laurel Park. The chestnut filly sports good size, a strong shoulder and balance. Currently in training, she has recorded several workouts at Laurel Park during June, including a pair of half mile works timed in 49.2 and 49.8. She is expected to make her career debut this summer at either Delaware or Colonial Downs and then transition to Laurel Park in the autumn months.
Lucky Tin Tin is by Madefromlucky, who qualifies her as Maryland bred by a Maryland stallion, although her stallion has since moved to Indiana where he’s been Indiana’s 3rd ranked stallion by earnings over the past two years.
She is the final foal of the now pensioned Run Tin Tin and the Tin Tin legacy. Shares in Lucky Tin Tin are currently available at 1,500 for a 10% share.
LAST CHANCE SHARES: Snowboarder
